A part of the research team members are affiliated with the academic network CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies), entitled “Media in Transition / Transition in Media (MTTM).” The network’s mission is to explore the interaction between traditional and emerging media forms, offering perspectives and analyses on the industry’s transition. With a focus on innovation and adaptation, the network aims to provide opportunities for students and faculty to develop professionally and adjust to today’s digital environment.
Within the program, several mobilities and related activities have taken place. For example, in 2024, teaching mobilities were carried out at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies by professors from various universities in Central and South‑Eastern Europe, as follows: Prof. Peter Mikuláš (University of Nitra – Slovakia), Prof. Alena Mikulášová (University of Nitra – Slovakia), Prof. Antonija Čuvalo (Department of Media and Communication, Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb), and Prof. Tena Perisin (University of Zagreb).
Moreover, on November 26, 2024, under the coordination of Assist. Univ. Dr. Gheorghe Anghel at FJSC, the workshop “Mobile Journalism Practice” was held within the CEEPUS project. Students enrolled in the competition were mentored by several journalists from ProTV as well as Prof. Tena Perisin from the University of Zagreb.
CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is a multilateral university exchange program in the extended Danube region, based on an international agreement. Fifteen member states have joined the current CEEPUS III agreement, each with its own National CEEPUS Office.
In addition, the second edition of the Mojo Arena competition was organized within the “Media in Transition / Transition in Media (MTTM)” network (more info here).
The main activity of CEEPUS consists of networks of eligible universities from member states that operate joint programs. Within these networks, CEEPUS provides mobility grants for students and faculty of those eligible universities. Since 1995, approximately 82,000 mobility applications have been granted under the program. The CEEPUS member countries are: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia (along with universities in Pristina, Prizren, and Peja).
